Assurance and other related services:
The audit and review of financial statements are part of what is known as assurance work. The objective of an assurance work is to increase the degree of confidence of the users in the reports issued by the public accountant. To carry out insurance work, prior planning must be done according to international auditing standards, applying procedures that depend on the judgment of the public accountant, which is obtained after a careful assessment of the risk and the information presented for review.
An assurance report can express reasonable (positive) or limited (negative) conclusion. The other related services consist of applying certain audit procedures without expressing assurance about whether the accounting or other information is presented or not according to a presentation framework, since its objective is to communicate the result of the procedures performed.
